How can I buy tickets for the festival?

What are the ticket prices?

Festival Passes: (see website to purchase)

  • Cinephile VIP Pass: $199 (unlimited screenings and VIP party access)
  • General Admission Pass: $99 (6 screenings)

 

Emerson College screenings:

  • General Admission: $20 (current Emerson students get in free! – must wait in standby line to redeem)

 

JAPAN HOUSE Salon screenings:

  • VIP Admission: $40 (includes drink & snack!)
  • General Admission: $20

 

Screenwriter’s Table Read:

  • Free! (limited seating – must redeem tickets via website)

What’s the refund or exchange policy for tickets?

All sales are final.

How do I get tickets for sold-out screenings?

There will be a standby line for any last-minute available tickets.

Where can I find the festival schedule?

You can find the festival schedule on our website.

What happens if I’m late to a screening?

You will be brought into the screening at an appropriate time to avoid any viewing interruption to already seated guests.

Are there discounts available?

There are no discounts available.

How do I pick up my Tickets or Festival Pass?

Tickets are all electronically processed. You will receive a confirmation email with your ticket. No further actions are needed.

Passes will be available for pick up on Monday, September 23rd and Tuesday, September 24th, 1p-8p PST. Location: TBA (purchasers will be contacted by our team with location information)

Do I need to wear my Festival Pass?

Passes must be worn at all times.

It can’t be tied to your pants. It can’t be put away in your purse or back pocket. As long as you are on the premises of the Film Festival, passes must be visibly worn around the neck unless there’s a medical condition that presents.

Great fashion sense is not an exception 🙂

Are there assigned seats, or is it general admission?

VIP Admission and Festival Pass holders will be given priority seating. Once seated, General admission will be allowed to take seats, followed by Filmmakers and standby seating.

Can I bring someone else if their name is not on the ticket?

The purchaser must be present at check-in. It is up to the purchaser on how they’d like to disperse the purchased amount of tickets.

Are there special events or parties I can attend?

If you are a Cinephile VIP Pass holder, you will receive a private invite to the parties from one of our festival staff members.

 

All other pass and ticket purchases are excluded.

Is there parking or public transportation available?

Emerson College:

  • Street parking and public parking lots are only available.

 

JAPAN HOUSE Salon, level 5:

  • Public Parking is available at Ovation Center off of Highland Ave., in between Franklin Ave. and Hollywood Blvd.
  • Redeem a $2 off validation in JAPAN HOUSE library, right outside of the Salon on lvl. 5

Can I bring food and drinks into the screenings?

At both venues, ONLY bottled water will be allowed in. Concessions will be available for purchase exclusively inside the screening room at JAPAN HOUSE Salon.

Is the festival child-friendly?

Although our staff and volunteers are kid friendly, and have some of our own, we don’t recommend bringing your child if you want to avoid them seeing mature and sensitive material.

What are the technical specifications for film delivery?

We require a .MOV file to be transferred to our filmmaker liaison, Charles – charles@anthologyinstitute.org – NO LATER than Thursday 09/19.

 

*Failure to meet the deadline may be subject to inability to be screened.

Where are the screenings taking place?

Do I need to attend the film festival in person?

No, it is not required. Although we would love for each and every filmmaker to be there, we know that logistically speaking it can be hard to travel to Los Angeles.

Will the Anthology Film Festival cover travel and accommodations?

No. As a Film Festival and nonprofit in it’s inaugural year, we unfortunately don’t have the financial means to provide any travel stipend.

How many passes or tickets do I get as a filmmaker?

Feature Films will receive (2) two Filmmaker passes to be assigned to two individuals on their team. Once assigned, those passes cannot be shared. In addition, each Feature film will get (2) comped tickets to their screening to use for cast or crew. Any additional tickets must be purchased at full price.

Short Films will receive (2) two Filmmaker passes to be assigned to two individuals on their team. Once assigned, those passes cannot be shared. No comped tickets will be provided. Any additional tickets must be purchased at full price.

What are my filmmaker passes able to be used for?

Every filmmaker pass will grant access to any and every event for Anthology Film Festival 2024, including Opening and Closing Night parties.

When attending another screening, you will be asked to stand in our ‘standby line” before the desired screening. Once the room is cleared and ready to be sat, our house manager and/or box office manager will seat VIP tickets and GA tickets first. Once sat then the standby line will be allowed to enter next, with Filmmakers having priority over the public.

Where do I pick up my passes?

Your (2) filmmaker passes will be available for pick up on Monday, September 23rd and Tuesday, September 24th 1p-8p. Location’s TBA. Our Filmmaker Liaison, Charles will provide further information once confirmed.

When and where is my screening?

What kind of promotional activities will I be involved in?

If able to attend the film festival and film’s screening, you, or a representative, of your team will be asked to participate in a Q&A post screening.

You may also expect to be interviewed by one of our team members for use on our social media and/or website.

How many people can I have on stage for the Q&A?

Features – (2) two reps can speak on stage at Emerson College screening. (6) six reps can speak on stage at JAPAN HOUSE Salon.

Shorts – (1) one rep can speak on stage at either location.

Will my film be eligible for awards?

Yes! All films are eligible for awards. Award Categories:

  • Anthology Audience Award (given to the most voted Feature and Short by our audience) – Premier Picture Award (given to best Feature Film)
  • Premier Short Award (given to best Short Film)
  • Social Impact Award (given to an Outstanding Feature or Short Film with cultural and social impact leading the way for change)

How do I promote my film at the festival?

You may share our website and/or social media posts highlighting your film and where to buy tickets.

You may also make your own posts, just please tag us @anthologyinstitute so that we can repost and share.
